After the success of the N.W.A. biopic Straight Outta Compton , fans of hip-hop music are more than eager for the upcoming Tupac Shakur film that is currently in the works . A new movie about the life of Pac has been talked about for a while now. Now we have the wheels turning on production for his biopic titled All Eyez on Me.
The film is being directed by Benny Boom, with Demetrius Shipp, Jr. casted as the late Tupac Shakur . With changes still being made, and new cast members jumping on the project, things are starting to look promising, especially with the announcement of the most recent add-ons to the film. One actress in particular is sure to spice things up though .

Danai Gurira (Michonne) walking dead.

You have seen her killing it with her role as Michonne from The Walking Dead, and now she’s expected to slay it with this next acting gig.
Actress Danai Gurira has been casted to play the role of Tupac’s mother, Afeni Shakur for the upcoming film.
Danai Gurira Is Set To Play Tupac’s Mother. Danai will be putting the samurai sword down to focus on getting into a whole new character we have never seen before. Her portrayal of a hip-hop icon’s mother will be a totally different ball game from her previous zombie hunter role. The real Afeni Shakur will actually be close by, working as executive producer for the film.

Hopefully this movie does just as good, if not better than Straight Outta Compton . So far, things seem to be looking good for this project .

Credits: Brandy Norwood.
